St. John's Elora - 150th Anniversary Gala Dinner

  • The Grandway 7445 County Road 21 Elora, Ontario Canada (map)

Join in celebrating 150 years of worship offered at St John’s Elora.

October 3 marks the first service in our present building on October 3 1875.

St John’s was established 195 years ago in 1830, but the present building first welcomed people to gather for worship a century and a half ago.

We gather on Friday October 3 at the Grandway Events Centre in Elora to give thanks for this legacy with a Gala Anniversary Banquet. Joining us will be The Right Reverend Dr Susan Bell, Bishop of Niagara, and members of the St John’s Parish Choir.

There will be over forty experiences and items generously donated by local restaurants and retailers available at a Silent Auction. All proceeds support the St John’s Elora Open Doors building project and the Diocese of Niagara 150th Anniversary Curacy Fund (to support clergy-in-training to be placed in parishes).

A commemorative ale will be available for purchase in the month of October at the Elora Brewing Company while supplies last.

As we give thanks for the past century and a half we look forward to the future of loving service in our community for generations to come.

Thank you to all our community partners for helping us celebrate this milestone event.
